Well, whatever you choose will be expensive.
The solution that you are looking for is the apparthotels or family pension.
The lowest cost is arround 450 euros about 600dls.
The only tower I remember is called Appathotel near the Duomo but it's really expensive.

You can go to the faculties and search any room available shared.
Or buy the magazine "secondamano".

wow, youll be going to the unviersity of florence? im also attending it right now, but its only me and another friend of mine that are from the states, everyone else aside from italians are europeans. what department will you ll be studying under?

apartments here can be either cheap or expensive, it all depends on where and from w hom youll be renting it from. a single bedroom in teh center shouuld cost around 250-350 euros = $300-$400. a double room would be around 150-250 euros = $200-$300. an entire aparmtent can range around 800-2000 euros = $950-$2300.

i lived in florence last semester for 5 months and am actually moving back there next summer for another few years after i graduate college. i am in the same situation as you are with apartments. so far, ive got a few friends that i made from when i was in italy that said that apartments range from 3-700 euro a month which is about 360 - $840. it also depends on what part of the city you live in. if you live in the center, things are a lot more expensive but they are a lot closer within walking distance. where is your university located? i studied at accademia italiana near the ponte vecchio and my apartment was right around the corner from it which made it very convenient to go to school every day. if you are looking to save money, it might be wise to check to see if people are looking to double up or talk to your school about it. good luck!

And what do you think men should do to women that cheat on their boyfriends? Should they beat up women? Will men get arrested for doing that? You know you can do permanent damage to his sperm cells and testosterone cells, right? Fortunately those cells are in massive quantities, but you still donâ€™t have that right. Do you think women that cheat on their boyfriends deserve all that serious damage?
How about if a boy(or a girl) feels outraged by something you say or do? And then damage you, hurt you, and sexually abuse you that much, would you like that? You never know when someone is going to consider(in his/her mind) your words or actions â€an outrageâ€! That is why according to the law and according to common sense, you can only do that on emergencies in order to escape, and even in those situations when he â€œdeserves itâ€ I fail to see how it can be enjoyable. If you do that in other situations, then you are 10 times worse than him. And women claim they are more sensible than men and non violent, yeah right! If you think is funny to hurt, damage and sexually abuse men like that, then you donâ€™t deserve to be loved by any man or to have a family.
That is not just hitting, when a boy is hit in that private are and by the opposite sex, he feels used and sexually abused(but he will try to hide his true feelings).
You only kick boys there because they are not expecting it, but if they want they can hurt you and you can not do anything about it, you are lucky boys are NOT like girls. And you are spreading the word that is OK! Some day you are going to kick the wrong guy and then you will lose your front teeth, get expelled from school, or even worse go to jail. Will still it be awesome for you then???
