Fun things to do in Rome that is not Sight seeing?

Hello,

I will be traveling to Rome in a about a month. I was wondering what are some fun things to do there that are not site seeing. As I am not a big fan of just looking at building. One things I would like to do is just meet people my age ( I am 22). I also like some shopping. Are there any big events that go on that I should see. I was planning on going in the middle of March.

I loved sitting at random cafes in Rome and just observing people about their daily activities.

I agree that Villa Borghese is a great place to visit. There are always interesting people there, and a really fun activity is to rent one of the bike-cars (I'm not sure what it would be called in English-basically a car that you pedal).
You could also rent a scooter if you want to travel a little differently.
The Spanish steps area has great shopping, and lots of the shops are open really late which is fun.
My brother and I went in search of the best gelato places... San Crispino by the Trevi Fountain and Cafe de Paris on Via Veneto won by a long shot :)

Via Condotti and the Spanish Steps area is the best place to go for shopping.
You'll have surely something to do, expecially at night

You can go to Gianicolo or Villa Borghese, two of the most beautiful parks in Rome.
