I do agree with the first and third answerers. Massa Lubrense, Naples, Isle of Capri and try the famous pizza margherita and limoncello. <*-*>

Hi, I live in Vico Equense, a little country near Sorrento. Here the sea is very good, people are cordial and will find a lot of quiet and relaxation. Must certainly visit all the Peninsula Of Sorrento ( can turn it everything with Circumvesuviana, a kind of underground ) Capri, Ischia and perhaps Pompei and Ercolano (for the archaeological excavations). Is obviously of obligation visit Naples (is only an hour of train from Sorrento ), walk in his old city centre, drink an express coffee on the Mergellina sea front looking at Vesuvius, and taste the best pizza of the world. Belive me, the sun and the heat of here will stay for ever in your heart! I wish you good holidays, I hope to have helped you! If you have any doubt or any question to do me, write to me! Bye Bye!

Make time for lunch at the Red Lion restaurant in Sorrento. Fabulous pizza margherita and limoncello.

Massa Lubrense, Pompeii, Naples (have some Neopolitan pizza), Capri, Capri, Capri -- It's gorgeous in southern Italy. Take a motorboat ride around Capri and look at the rock formations and beautiful blue and green water. Ahhhhhh...that's life!!

Alex
There was a very lengthy reply made to Yahoo Answers which referred to access to the Secret beach at Sorrento.

My saved copy of this reply is dated 18 September 2006

Maybe you can find it in the archive?

Mail me if you would like me to post on to you.

If you have the time, after strolling through Sorrento, go down the Amalfi Coast!

you don't say how much time you have & you have many choices. of course-- walk thru sorrento where you can buy ceramics & linens. but you can also by train easily get to pompeii, herculeum & other ancient villas. you can go to the famous beaches at positano & other small villages by renting a car or taking the bus or getting a driver. hop on the boat to isles of capri or ishia...spend time in naples at the museum...

I'm italian and the best places to visite are Rome, Firenze, and any city of Sardegna ..... ....
