Good budget hotel for families in Venice, Italy?

We are visiting Venice in July and we would like a clean, no-frills hotel--5 twin beds and a bath, nothing more--for our family of 3 teens. Any suggestions?

Rooms that hold 5 are hard to find. Try the Locanda Antica Venezia.

Don't stay on the Lido. You'll have to pay transportation for 5 people everyday so you really aren't saving money.

Try staying outside of Venice in Lido di Jesolo. It is a resort town on the outside of the Bay and it is a five to ten minute ferry ride into Venice (usually 1.50 to 2 euros). The Hotels are well equipped and it is right on the beach. Almost every Hotel also has its own set of beach chairs. It is a great place to stay without the cost of Venice. You can get a nicer hotel here at a cheaper price. This is my top choice for staying in or near Venice.

Oh, and one frill to think about. July is hot - look for AC.

I doubt that paying 20 or less euros a day to get to and from Venice is too much of a hassle. I am sure that the difference in cost is worth it.
