a very good time, definitly not much english, if that's an issue. we flew from rome to palermo and then rented a car and drove around the west coast to a aggrigento on the south side of the island (very cool greek ruins there). slept on the beach a couple nights and hung out in some bars etc, checked out the sights by day (topless girls on the beaches). we drove back through the center of the island and on the way back to palermo saw some very strange but cool places. amazing country, interesting culture- almost completely different from that of norther italy. |

It was just great. Don't miss Taormina, Agrigento. The best time to travel is in spring; if possible, don't go in summer because it is too hot, the country is parched and you won't find any flowers. |

Amazing. Beautiful countryside, amazingly clear water on the beaches and the best seafood you will find - and cheap! The people are friendly but not a lot of English is spoken unless you are in the main cities. It's perfectly safe to travel here, don't worry the mafia! |

Sicily is great!
The food is fantastic the people are friendly and most people understand at least a small amount of English so it's very easy to get by.
The weather is fabulous too. |
