I've been to Italy several time, but I've never gone into the catacombs. Is the church you want to see The Capuchini Bone Chapel in Rome? I have friends who visited both and they said they were kind of creepy. I have been to the Scavi under St. Peter's. That was very interesting.

A trip to Italy is definitely worth the money. There are so many wonderful things to see.

I've been by the catacombs in Italy but never in them. It's worth the trip just to go to Rome and Florence though. If you do some reaserach on the Colosseum and the Forum, you'll find that there's some pretty gruesome history there too. Plus, there's such beautiful architecture and great shopping!
