Has anyone had experience in finding a place to live in Milan?
Is better that you search some place near Milan, linking with train (less than 1/2 hour) like Legnano, Magenta, Monza...

check craigslist.com for listings.

Irishman in Italy here.
Milan is a very very expensive city (I believe the fourth most expensive in the world).
Finding a place to live is hard. Agencies will cheat you, landlords will cheat you, room-mates will cheat you. You will need to pay at least three months' rent in advance too. Be prepared.

Milan is getting so damn expensive! I wanted to move there for Uni but I'll probably travel with train everyday...the prices are too high and especially too high for what they're offering...the better solution would be to move somewhere not too far from Milan and travel by bus or train.
