Have you been to Milan Italy? |
If so do most people speak English? Can you buy an Italian designer handbag for less than you can buy in the states? Are the clothes sold Italian made and expensive? I've been to other European countries and most clothes sold were American made and way more expensive then here. Also the only country where we had a hard time finding someone who spoke english was Greece. Should we take a translator book? |

all the hotels and restaurants will speak english to a degree,but i advise to learn a few basics before you travel and a phrase book. if you make an effort ,even please and thank you goes a long way with italians and is very apreciated.All clothes in milan will be designer and made in Italy,they are very proud of their fashion and culture.The italians are the classiest dressers in the world.As for prices you can find a bargain,the fun is looking. |

yes they will speak enough english to understand and answer your question.. your designer clothes are there its no bargin and much cheaper in the US because of the the euro |

I live about two hours from Milan. You won't have a lot of trouble using English there. It's always nice to know a bit of the language though. Clothing, electronics and other things are generally cheaper in the US. However, if you're here in July, the summer sales will be going on and you can find some great bargains. There are lots of upscale shopping options in and around Milan. |
