It's hot, dusty, and full of life. I enjoyed it. It's weird to see many different cultures and many different time periods represented in one place at the same time. It's over 2000 years old, kind of what you'd expect. |

The thing to remember about Italy, even though it is ancient, as a nation it is about 100 years younger than the US and is a unification of a number of totally different states. Sicily, Tuscany, Venetia, Parma, Modena, Lombardy - all very different places now one. Ergo, the variety is wonderful. I've been all over the world. It's the one place I always think of when I start planning a vacation.
You will love it when you get there. |
