I lived there six years. It was absolutely amazing. I have to say that my favorite places to go were downtown Vicenza and San Marino, but I also loved Venice, Rome, Pisa, and Verona.
If the pizza isn't enough, Italian pasta is simply amazing. I love the art. I love the architecture. I love Italy!

They call Italy the Beautiful country (Bel Paese) because of the natural enviroment so varied (from Alpes to sea) and the pieces of art (architecture, sculpture, paintings) you can admire. They say that more than 50% of western art are in Italy.
Another art, tipically italian, is cuisine with such a variety of dishes and wines. In Italy have been living, in the centuries, Arabas, Spanish, French, Normans, Germans, Austrians ans many others, that gave such a cultural diversity to the country, including many dialects. Even for that italians, generally speaking, are tolerant |

Yep. Been there. Love the people there, they are very open and friendly. You can't help but learn Italian. That is what I loved most.
Then there is the food and that is also something worth visiting for. |
