He, he, yes, Rome traffic is insane!
Here's a video to remind you of what you're missing
http://www.viddler.com/explore/dtooearth/videos/12/
it's at Piazza Venezia (just a little down from the Roman Forum) you were probably there,

and this one is at the same place but at night time

have a good laugh!

I have been to Hyderabad in India, that's traffic, more like being in the dodgems at the fair ground.

Oh, that's nothing. You should see it in Naples! Traffic in Naples is a spectator sport.

No, but after travailing to France, Mumbai and Bangalore i can't imagine it being that bad. In India the rule is, the smaller you are the quicker you get out the way and when trying to cross roads in India, they see you are not a local and people help you across as they know what it is like, imagine me a 35 year old rugby player at the time being helped across the road by some guy half my age and half my size, but you just let them as the whole country is just' different'.

ahahah i know I saw two old ladies on the same motorcycle going about 90 mph and one of them was sitting sideways. They both had long skirts on. LOL!

And you are very lucky not to understand what they are saying or better shouting when anything happens.

(and you would not be able to understand what they are saying even if you were able to understand Italian, since in these circumstance they speak their local slang)

They have always had a reputation! Even crossing the street on foot, you are taking your life into your own hands...or handing it over to the crazy drivers!

I've been in the traffic in Rome with an angry driver who got into a fist-fight with another driver who bumped the back-end of his vehicle! Now, THAT was an adventure, as I was an American on holiday...and thought I might have to try to explain to the police in broken Italian what had happened to the two bloody, fighting men!
