Well, I shouldn't generalize about a whole population. The vibe I usually get from most Italian people is friendly. They seem like a happy bunch, and their food is amazing. I would love to visit Italy someday, beautiful country. |

Italian people i believe are talented, the artists, the pasta, pizza, the landscape such as venice, the architecture, statures and particularly the fashion (milan) and i guess in gneral the people can be nice.
Italy is a nice relaxing sunny place. very good for tourism when i went there. Took great photos and it was very memorable. worth visiting. |

Well, I think that after all they are nice people, they are indeed very open to conversation, are pleased to help tourists when they get lost and have a good sense of humour. About Italy...it has some of the most wonderful places in the world, even if there are sooo many other countries with sooo many amazing places that I couldn't say Italy is the place I would choose to live (even if at present I have no choice, being an italian boy). One suggestion to tourists who are gonna visit us: don't be scared by the driving techniques of italian taxi drivers, they are crazy (as almost every driver here), but they know what they do...I always say: give a Roman taxi driver a formula 1 car and he'll win the world championship! |

Well I lived in Italy for 5 years. I loved all but Naples. (filthy, dangerous, etc.) but I lived in Sardegna.... Geogeous, people were great. I opened a resturant with an Italian guy. did great. But I had to leave because my dad became ill.but I'd go back in a minute. |

It depends where you visit, I lived in the northern part of Italy for years and they are not as friendly as the southern people.
Italy is a wonderful country, rich in so many things but it's governed by deadheads!!!
I know a lot of young talented people who have moved from Italy due to lack of government stability. (corruption and tangenti)!!
A part from that everyone should visit this pearl once in a lifetime!!! |

Based on my two experiences in Milan and Genoa Italy is a dirty country with a lot of unfriendly locals and bums. Everyone I met seemed to be divising some way to scam money from you. Of all the countries I have visited about 13 Italy was the least pleasant. But that is only from two times traveling there. I will most likely give the country another chance and visit Rome, and Florence, and maybe Venice as I have heard good things from people there. |
