You should be fine there. the B&B is closer to the Colosseum than to the station along via Cavour. It's very easy walking distance to the ancient Roman attractions and fairly close to a couple of Metro stops. I haven't actually stayed at this place, but I have stayed in that general vicinity. |

Yes, this is a safe area. The only really dodgey part of Rome is around Termini (the main train station) late at night, but that's the same in just about every city in the world - the main train stations are where the shady characters hang around late at night.
You'll love Rome, its one of the world's most magnificent cities. |

Not completely safe. It's not dangerous when you stay on the main road, in full light and near the shops and hotels.
But better if you don't turn the corners in the streets near the station, where you can find many pushers, thieves, pimps and prostitutes, night and day. |

yes...rome is completely safe...i'm italian and i was in rome many times...rome is wonderful. i take you some advices: if you are going to rome during summer, you must visit colosseo, pantheon and il foro...there are also many other places, like campidoglio, quirinale, palazzo farnese...rome is special also at night, when many lights light all the famous monument: so for example you can see basilica di san pietro from anoither part of the city without problems because it's all light...bye |
