I live in Italy.

Use the buses and the very large and very good Metro. Buy tickets in the newsagents kiosks. Taxis are way too expensive.

Rome is a city you see on foot anyhow.

Before you go for a tour or a travel you need to plan something. Visit online website to know
more about the place the people, hotels, their cost and get a brief idea about the place. Try to be prepare before hand also get some

What is the cost of a taxi from Fiumicino Airport to Civitavecchia cruise port?

Claudia F
Ver very expensive!

Tara C
Take the bus. Cabs are ridiculously expensive and exploitive. When we arrived off the train from Florence we didn't realize where our hotel was. Once we were settled and started walking around we realized our hotel was less than 3 blocks away from the Termini and it cost of 11Euro. Do some research first. Ask on Yahoo how far your hotel is away from your airport or train station, etc. Honestly, I think only tourists pay for public trasportation, if you are using that it's free.

cab rates are high everywhere... rome is very walkable. you can also take the on & off tourist bus which makes stops at sights, or the metro.

Taxis are usually expensive because they take advantage of tourist and will drive around in circles to make mnore money. They do have a double decker bus tour in Rome it about 20-25 euro for 24 hours and you hope on and off when ever you want and it goes to all the sights in Rome. They also have them in Florence and naples, and other cities.

Mike Lavern
EXPENSIVE!!

Rent a donkey!

They are most economical!
