The key to an affordable stay in Italy is to rent an apartment vs. rooming in a hotel. For example, 2 weeks in a hotel in Tuscany would be around 1400 Euro, however an apartment for 2 weeks in the same area is only 800 Euro; about a 900 dollar savings. Look for apartments, maybe with half board (some meals provided) otherwise just go with the flow, eat out, and cook some meals on your own!

Hello,

Check out venere.com. They have rooms all over Italy. Sometimes they offer discount codes. Check them out.

Where are you going? It realy depends on what kind of accommodation you are looking for: in the city, country, on the coast, in the mountains.

A site that I like is www.italyby.com -- they have a great range of offers.

I know a lot of places in Florence and Tuscany, and other regions of Italy as well. If you want to get in contact with me, I can help you further.

Hi Ale,
Congratulation for you wedding. Italy is a great and romantic country but you have to choose where in Italy you intend to enjoy your honeymoon.
Here is a link to a great website. All you have to do is choose the city and dates and you'll get a list of hotels. You will be able to choose it by price, by location etc.. Most important, you can see guest reviews.

I use Expedia.co.uk or octopustravel.co.uk when travelling to Italy

If you have not decided on where to go yet - I love Rome and Naples/Sorrento. Plus on the Italian Riviera (East coast) - Rimini is a hidden gem of a place - generally used by the Italians for their own beach holidays.
