How can I get my Italian father's birth certificate? I need to become an Italian citizen.?

My father passed away. I live in the US. Are there any agencies that help you do that? How much would I have to pay to get the certificate? Please let me know what you know about the topic. Thanks.

Try the State Department or contact the Itailian Embassy. Changing nationalities is a multi year process. It takes 7 to become an American... it's probably similar eleswhere. Then you could also consider dual citizenship...

Fairy Tale
The court house can help . Is his name on your birth certificate ? Many questions will need to be answered .Did he live in US ? How old are you ? Where is your mother ?,You can get a passport to visit any time and to become an Italian citizen your fathers family can help you from then on .Best of luck and sorry about your loss.

I know that if you become an Italian citizen and you are within the ages for conscripition and you haven't yet performed your military service (2 year mandatory) you will be "invited" to participate... (you'll be placed in service)
