How do I get from Rome International airport (FCO) to main train station in downtown Rome the easiest way?

On a Sunday morning (0900) this September, I need to travel from FCO to main train terminal in Rome. I need a way that is easy and swift, but not too, too expensive. I will have a fair amt of luggage. What are my options: best and second best? How much will they cost? Thanks

for 11.50 euros you can take the train that takes right into termini! there are tons of signs at the airport telling you how to get to the train stop.when u get to the train.. my suggestion would be to take your time to try to get to the end of the train. When you get termini you will thank me for it.. If you dont do it you will be walking tons with you baggage till the end of the track.

You can get a train from the airport.I can't remember exactly how much it costs but it's not alot. Also you can get private mini vans from outside the airport, it is quite easy to find people who can share the cost with you.Be ready for a hair raising ride.

Take the airport express train right at the terminal to the "Termi" train station. Costs about $7 and theres a ticket office there where you can buy tickets for the main train system also. Theres a train every half hour to and from Termini. DONT TAKE A TAXI !!!!!

It depends on what you say by a fair amount of luggage. If each of you has a suitcase on wheels and a carry on take the train to the Termini. If it's more than that spring for a Taxi, but don't get one at the airport. Arrange for it ahead of time. If you went through a travel agent, have them set it up. Then they are waiting at the gate when you arrive. The trains are very crowded and it will be hard to maneuver with too many bags.
