How expensive is it to stay in Rome?

How much are we looking to pay for a hotel / B&B? We are going in July.

Any other info would also be greatly appreciated

I used the web site Venere.com for my last visit. I found reasonable accomodations and a large choice of options. We stayed just outside the wall in the northeast corner of the city. The hotel was the Villa Florence or something like that. It was about $200 Euros a night.

I don't live in Rome but I live in Milan...last year I went to Rome and I stayed in a youth hostel and it was cheap enough but it was the worst I've ever seen..anyhow not all are bad..for example my parents stayed in a guest house run by nuns and they were doing fine there...but I know nothing about hotels or bed and breakfast, I'm sorry...but I advise you not to buy anything at stands!!for example a pringles pack costs 3 euro!!.....anyhow...Rome is a terrific city!!it's really beautiful!!sorry about my terrible English!! and good holiday!!

Other suggestions are good - Book early. Research on the internet. (Go to Homelidays.com.) I personally booked near the Vatican, near a Metro subway stop, and got what looks like a great apartment with a patio for 660 Euros (big enough for two people, seven days, going in May).
By the way, Giulia, your English is perfect.

now with the dollar so low it`s very expensive, i know because i live in italy and my husbands works in usa and it`s very hard to meet the ends of the months, it doesnt seem the dollar will get up again, so save money..............

Depends on the amount of people in your party and the part of the city. Five people in my party and we are renting an apartment in Campo di Fiori section

Hi! I'm Italian but I don't live in Rome. I think a B&B it can cost about 600 euro onwards. Good Holiday.

We paid around 550 euros for four nights in a B&B this time last year. It was just up from the Pantheon.

July is pretty expensive season for tourists in Rome. However you can find some good B&B or Camping villages. The sooner you get your reservations the better, also because if you try to do it last minute it will be very difficult to get a good and cheap place

Annie
Book early as you can. Expect 100 Euros a night to be low end. It is going to hurt. I know, I am going to be there.
