Hello,
It depends on where you are in Rome, but, generally it takes between half an hour and 45 minutes by cab. If your hotel is in the city center the fare will be a set rate of 35 euros. If you are outside the city walls it will be a little more.

You can take the Leonardo Express to the airport for 12 euros.
The Leonardo Express is the name of the train that'll shuttle you from Rome's main international airport, Fiumicino, to central Rome's Termini station.
A Leonardo Express train leaves every half hour in each direction. It is 35 minute direct trip no stops in between.
From Rome Termini: Trains to the airport start at 5:52 in the morning, with trains running at 22 and 52 minutes after the hour. The last train of the day departs at 22.52 (10:52pm)
