You can take a taxi is about 35 minutes or a train to the central terminal (Stazione Termini) (about 40 minutes) then the metro to the Colosseum (an additional 20 minutes). All of the above depends on traffic and train connections, of course.

about 30 to 40 min

Hello,

By cab or personal driver it takes about 35-40 minutes. If you take the train it is a half hour to the termini station and then a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute cab ride or a 5 minute metro ride. I would take a cab or hire a car. This will be the fastest.

add 2 hours to the landing time (I have every week tourist coming to my place in the center and that's the time that everyone need it to arrive)
