We were quoted 100 euro for a "standard" ride, and 150 euro for a little longer. At that price, we did not even bother asking about the number of people. We loved our vaporetto rides - right around the Grand Canal and out to Murano and Burano and across the lagoon to our hotel on Lido.

Unless the city has reset the official rate recently, it's 80 euro for 40 minutes during the day and 100 euro at night (for up to 6 people). You shouldn't have to pay more than that although they may ask for more and if there's a lot of demand you won't have much negotiating room.
