How much do gondola rides in Venice cost? Are the prices per person or per gondola? Thanks!?

The prices are per gondola (up to 6 pers.). The official price is 80 euros per 40 min, any additional 20 min 40 euros.
At night there is an upcharge: 8 pm to 8 am 100 euros per 40 min.
Bargaining especially during the day is possible ;)

It's not a reasonable price.
In fact just american, russian and japanese tourists take the bait.

There is a fixed rate of 80euros for up to 6 people for 40mins during the day. All information is on this website: http://www.gondolavenezia.it/history_tariffe.asp?Pag=43

We were quoted 100 euro for a "standard" ride, and 150 euro for a little longer. At that price, we did not even bother asking about the number of people. We loved our vaporetto rides - right around the Grand Canal and out to Murano and Burano and across the lagoon to our hotel on Lido.

Unless the city has reset the official rate recently, it's 80 euro for 40 minutes during the day and 100 euro at night (for up to 6 people). You shouldn't have to pay more than that although they may ask for more and if there's a lot of demand you won't have much negotiating room.
