around 20 euros

when we went back in march it was not expensive. we spent maybe 10 euros on two slices of pizza and bottled water for lunch (that was with us taking it though). we got gelato for under 10 euros as well. dinner was around 20-25 euros, but we ate at a more touristy spot, so the menu prices might have been catered to tourists. all in all, we felt florence had the best pizza and gelato. get your gelato at Bar Vivoli, delicious! better than the gelato we had in rome.

The food costs in Florence are a little bit less in comparison to the comparable food in the U.S. The exchange rate may be moving that upwards now, but it used to be that the meals there were generally less expensive. But remember, there are inexpensive restaurants and there are more expensive ones - so depending on your budget, you can find just about anything in Florence!

ive been living here in italy for the last 4 years and the cost of food here in comparison to the states is 50/50. for example, going to a restaurant or a cafe, they charge for every little dam thing you touch, not kidding. you get charged for the spot you are seated, for the water you order, for the bread if you want any. in the states instead, you get charged only for the meal, water is free, bread comes with the meal, ecc. so having dinner in two in florence goes from 35 euros (not including wine) and up. i recomendation, do not leave tips, because here its not use to and the service most of the time is that good, be real thankful and leave good tips when the person who attends is kind since its not common.

about the groceries, its extremly expensive in the florence only if you go to a grocery store in the CENTER of florence. if you can get access to a grocery store on the outskirts of the center, you can them at regular prices. for example buying a bottle of milk, in the center youll get it for like 4 to 5 euros, in the outskirts, about 2 euros. it makes a big difference.

hope this helps!

it depands upon what u wanna eat n where,e.g if u order a pizza in an ordinary resturant it will be 5 or 6 eurors(it depands upon the pizza)but if u will order same in nice resturant it will cost more.
or if u wanna enjoy all meals it will cost more.

My husband and I honeymooned in Rome, Florence and Venice in January 2006. Everything in Florence was cheaper than the other two cities. If you stay in a hotel, your breakfast should be included. Lunch costs around 8-15 euros and dinner around 20-25 euros. Many menus were a la carte, but restaurants catering to Americans offer preset menus at a savings.

?
18 euros will do.

For a large pizza 15 euro.
