...milan is now in the top 10 most expensive vacation destinations so bring extra cash. its a great place though.

I would say between 60 and 70 euros a day

if you stay at pensione it may cost 25 euro in rome. with 27 your lunch also will be served. seven days in rome including other expenses it will be 250 euro. Milan bit costly but you can mange with 400 euro, there fore 700 to 800 euro is ok for your two weeks programme incluing the train fare.

completely dependent on how you want to spend your 2 weeks. You can stay in a hostel for less than $10 a day, or you can stay in a 5-Star hotel. Air fare is going to cost you, $1500 round trip regular, but deals are always going out, so starting checking the airlines. Once you get to Europe, travel is pretty cheap, 2 week train passes are extremely cheap. spending money, passes, food (also depending), alcohol, etc. If you get the right deals, and do it cheap, you can do it on $2500, if you dont, expect $3500-5000. and thats being modest. if you want to go expensive you can expect upwards of $7000-8000.
