How much more expensive is the Gucci line in Italy than in the United States?

hi! I live in Milan and I can say that gucci is soooo expensive!

This is not as easy to answer as it may seem. The problem is that, just as in the U.S., prices vary from store to store and city to city. If the exchange rate were relatively equal, then I would say that you would pay roughly the same amount in Rome than you would in, for example, Los Angeles or New York. But since the exchange rate is so bad right now, then it would be more expensive to buy one in Italy. Using your example, if you found a purse in the U.S. for $1500.00 and the exact same purse in Rome, it would have to cost 1,024 Euros to be comparable. But you most likely would not find one for that amount there. It may be closer to $2,200.

This is very difficult since they started using the Euro. I used to live in Italy and prior to living there used to visit Rome often to shop. Back then I used to buy Gucci products for less than half of what I could buy it for in the U.S. and it was a great deal! But those days are gone - so just be prepared to pay more in Italy than you would pay in the U.S. right now.

for luxuary goods you have to shop in Lisboa or Dublin!!! things tend to be a bit cheaper!!! than in tourist infested areas such as rome.. piazza spagna(gucci) or milano , vittorio emanuelle galleria(gucci)..
