How much should we take? |
We're going to Rome and Milan (3 days each) - and will possibly be taking day trips to Venice and Florence. Flights and hotels have been booked. We're most likey going to get 3-day interrail passes at £57 each. How much extra money do you think we'll need to take for food, extra travel, tourist attractions etc.
Would like to see as much as possible for as little as possible, lol. |

Try to avoid taking too much - Venice is very expensive. You may be better off taking your debit card and using the ATM's so you just get what you need, but check your card issuers fees. If you are lucky you are with Nationwide who charge no fees and give midrate for exchange rather than the amex tourist rate, this makes buying foreign currency (in this case the €) around 4% cheaper than any other way. If you must take cash allow at least €150 per day for the two of you |

Rome and Milan are very expensive who ever says its cheap don't believe it. If you work it out at £150 per day. You should have a brill time. |

Foods pretty cheap, you can get a good meal for 8 euros, half a litre of wine for 4 euros. Most attractions cost about 6 euro's. I reckon Italy's cheapest country in western Europe and I love it. You'll have a great time.
Go to little shops or supermarkets for beer. |
