(An exquisite plate for the eyes and the taste.)
Era squisito per gli occhi e per il gusto.
(It was exquisite for the eyes and the taste.)

2- Viaggiando sul filo di un ricordo gastronomico, o meglio, sulle tracce di un piatto squisito.
(Travelling on the thread of a gastronomic memory, or better, on the traces of an exquisite plate.)

3- Quel piatto squisito potremo mangiarlo solo quando andremo al ristorante.
(That exquisite plate we will be able to eat it only when we'll go to the restaurant.)

4- Un piatto squisito ed elegante.
(An exquisite and elegant plate.)

It wouldn't be "bellissimo"
"Una bellissima donna" (a beautiful woman) is right .
"Un bellissimo piatto" and "Una bellissima pietanza" (a beautiful plate) generally is wrong.

TYou would say fantastico, squisito, buonissimo...

Bellisimo usually translates along the lines of gorgeous
so you would instead say buonissimo... very good.
Molto eccelente is very excellent
squisito is exquisite
the word mangia is to eat
