I'd add the Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and the Spanish Steps to that list.

Julius Caesar's tomb is also within walking distance of the ruins that are close by the Colosseum and, in my opinion, it's worth checking out. It's amazingly simplistic for such a well-known person in human history.

Don't forget to stop and eat. True Italian food is tough to beat, as is their gelato.

Get a good guide book. There are too many things to see in Rome to cover it here. Eyewitness is good.

Hi,

Every part of Rome has something to discover, the city itself is a work of art and you will find something worth seeing behind every corner. There are also some characteristic place to visit absolutely, like Trastevere and Piazza dei Mercanti, The Rione Monti in Via Cavour with the Domus Aurea, Villa Borghese with the gallery.... Have a look here http://www.alfabookings.com/video/
Bye

Trastevere... best Italian/Roman food in the city!!

Pantheon!! Enough said.

Castel Sant'Angelo... great views of Roma from top, right by the Vatican

Piazza del Popolo... so pretty... on the Flaminio (one away from Piazza di Spagna) metro stop too so it's easy to get to

Santa Maria Maggiore... beautiful church so close to Termini station

Villa Borghese... beautiful park that houses the Galeria Borghese (can get to from the Spagna metro stop)

Piazza Navona, classic Italy- get tartufo at Tre Scalini

San Giovanni.... beautiful cathedral (by the metro stop)

Campo dei Fiori... market early in the day, crazy partying at night

Jewish Ghetto... cool area of Rome to walk around in

Porta Portese... typical market open on Sundays in the morning/early afternoon but be VERY careful, there's pickpockets everywhere!! (Piramide/Testaccio area)

p.s. when at the Vatican, don't miss Old Bridge gelato right by the Musei Vaticani- it's amazing!!

there are so many things in rome!!
you can go on vatican, colosseum, piazza navona, piazza di spagna. the best shopping street is via condotti but it is also very expensive! i reccomend you to go on the buses that bring you around the city. they are very nice!! there is also the thrue mouth... take a photo there.. and also the trevi's fountain.. if you throw a coin in it you can make a wish!!
enjoy yourself in you journey in the città eterna!! (eternal city)
