If you have a Driver's license you can drive and you can see a movie but if it rated R then you must be with someone over 18 to see it.

The driving age in the U.S. is 16, but you need a driver's license. Your Italian license alone won't be sufficient, and I don't know if someone under 18 can get an International Driving Permit.

Do expect to drive.

As for movies -- movies are all rated. You won't be able to get into movies rated R unless you go with your parents. R movies would be the ones with too many "adult" themes.

yeah u have to be 16 to drive and 17 to get into an r rated movie, for the driving, i dont know what to tell you. it kinda depends on where u r going to live, as for movies, just have someone who is 17 buy ur tickect for you

You can go to movies, however you can't go to Rated-R movies unless you have someone that's 25+ with you. As for driving, that varies by state. In my state 16 is the driving age and a 16 year old with a valid license from their home country is allowed to drive.

Well first of all, where are you going? What state or city?
Next, 16 isn't the driving age everywhere, some states you can be 14 or 15, but others are 17 and 18. You still won't be able to drive legally. Also, you can go see a movie, just not rated "R" (Restricted, under 17 needs a parent). I used to get into them all the time when I was younger and no one actually checked my id, but I actually went to see a movie last week and the lady carded me (I'm 20 and look it). It's also 21 to drink, 18 to smoke. Just because it's illegal though, doesn't mean you can't do it. Where are you going exactly?

If you get an 18 year old to accompany or purchase the tickets to a rated R movie for you, no one will ask unless you look really young.
unless it's a rated R movie you can watch anything you want.
Why would you want to watch a movie when you visit AMERICA you can do that in italy.
Try to go site seeing and on tours. America has sooo many fun things you can do and a lot of should see, depending on where you are staying at.

you can get into movies, the thing is rated R movies you have to have a parent or an adult with you if your under 17 years old. they will more than likely ask for your id but to tell you the real truth i dont think they are quite that picky here! and 16 year olds can drive? where are you getting your information???

you cannot drive over here because you do not have a valid us license.

You can't go into rated R movies (18+) If you have US driver's license you can drive.....have people drive you and someone over 18 come with you to movies.....Tons of other stuff to do....lots of public transportation, etc

you can't see an R rated movie, you can see a non R rated movie. I wouldn't waste my time at the movies if only here 2 weeks. you'll need a liscence to drive, i think there are ways a foriegner can drive. at your age american kids don't have a full liscence. they can't drive after 9pm. no drinking either. you'll have to do what these pious american kids do. have underage sex and do drugs.

You can go into whatever movie you want. Just buy the ticket
