I would much rather go to northern Italy! It is way cleaner and more interesting then the south. Venice, Florence and Rome are a must see. You can catch the train from Naples.

Naples is supposed to be a dump. but I found it ok. My buddy was there in the 1980s and thought it was crime filled . But "Rome is beautiful", and they say and its true "Florence is more beautiful".
