DEFINITELY hit up a gelato shop. Everyone here in the states claim to sell gelatos but they all lie...

Also, just go for a drive. There are BEAUTIFUL roads and most will lead you to some great little mission towns.

I was in Rome in 2000. I spent several days looking around at all the historical places, artwork etc that still exists - and I only scratched the surface!! Definitely look at the colloseum, the Vatican (St Peters Basilica, St Peter's Square and the Vatican Museum), Trevi Fountain, Piazza Novona, Spanish Steps, and just wondering around. I'd love to go back with my family - that's the next big trip!!

In Rome - The Colleseum, Trevi Fountain, The Spanish Steps, The Galleria Borghese, The Pantheon, The Roman Forums, Basilica di San Pietro in Vaticano, Vatican Museums.

I didn't get to Parma.

In Florence - Galleria Delgi Uffizi, Galeria dell'Academia (To see the David, mostly), buy leather
