As Italian I'll have first to answer to other people.
First of all you can metion wathever you want, we are not so stupid to make mess for a football match even because Milan Ac will restore the correct situation and,
second it's called acquavite and it's an alchol distilled product so obviously it burn a little when you drink it!
Passing to the proper question, well Rome is probably the best town in the world (I've seen a lot of places in the world and I'm not from Rome so I have no interest) but over the classic tour on Vatican City, the Coliseum, the Terme di Caracalla and other places I'll suggest to make a trip on the Castelli Romani (the hills surrounding the town) and don't miss the EUR block, it's a very particular example of design from the 30's, You can love it or hate it but cannot stay indifferent.
Have a nice Honeymoon!
Ciao

hi
i'm italian and proud to be Roman !
there are so many things that you guys can do in Roma
visit the major attraction like the other guy mention to you ,that you'll find in any guide,or map of the city .
but my place ...actually a roman place where we like to bring special people ..it's "parco degli aranci " it's a hill street close to circo Massimo ....from there i guarantee to you you will take the best picture (souvenir) of your honey moon and of Rome of course ...you can see everythings from up there
congrats. and have a beautiful trip,in my eternal city
