I'm italian .
You can visit Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del popolo, Fontana di Trevi.
Shop in Via del Corso and Via Condotti.
there are many restaurant in Rome.
I suggest you "Augusto" in Piazza de Renzi in the district of Trastevere.

Besides Rome, try Cinque Terre and Portofino.. romantic.. Florence, Lucca, Venice. Rome not as romantic more interesting historically |

Be sure to go to the Vatican, of course, and the Colliseum, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, and other places your hotel concierge and the taxi drivers will suggest. (And if you have never seen the old movie Roman Holiday, be sure to do that before you go!) |

I was in Rome From 4-5 months ago ...
there is the "Fontana di Trevi" where u can visit... near this fontana there is a restaurant named "Il Chianti" that i liked a lot !
There is the "Colosseo"
or the "Piazza del popolo"
u can visit the "Campo Di Fiori" too
And the "piazza Navona" is Wonderful !!

I don't know why people think Rome is romantic - it beats me. I was there in September and it was tiring, busy, traffic everywhere 24/7, can't cross the road, scooters all over the place, expensive, queues etc etc in fact it was one of the worst holidays I ever had. Pity you didn't think about going to Venice - now that is an amazingly romantic place! BUT having said all that I hope you have a better experience than we did. |
