Wow, I envy you. I was in Rome in September for 4 days and its the best city ever!
There is so much to do there honestly, so it will be hard for me to write it all out.
My advice to you is to buy Rick Steves book for Italy, or maybe Rome. He gives really good advice about places to go. Also what I like about his books is that he gives some information on how you can walk around in Rome, so that gives us an opportunity to mix around with locals.
Globe trekker also has some good suggestions.
Enjoy!! |

Rome is amazing. An easy way to get around, and I know it might sound a little to touristy, is taking the red double decker bus. It takes you around to all of the sites, the vatican, the colosseum, everything you probably want to see and you can get off whenever wherever and it runs relatively late into the day. And it's a 2 day pass, its a good investment. Also almost everyone in Rome speaks English but try and learn some basics of Italian because they like to see you are trying, otherwise they are a bit rude (no offense to the Italians, I am italian myself). |
