Lorenzo, we loved this restaurant not only for the food but for people watching.

Tre Scalini
Piazza Navona, 30, Rome, Italy

Sitting in the wonderful Piazza Navona is one of the great experiences of Rome...everyone who visits should do it. The Tre Scalini is an institution in the piazza. The pastas are terrific and the Tartuffo, for dessert, is justly famous. Oh,always ask for creme on top.

Enjoy)

The crowded place is the best bet in any strange location.
Before the euro, there was an attempt a day to dip me off.
I would eat at a cafeteria, yes, near the train station or a stand-up sand witch bar. Go Pizza Shop hopping: buy a slice in one shop and eat and move down half a block and have another slice. Always count your change. The first place I took in Italy was a pizza shop in Roma. The prices were not posted and I paid too much and she didn't want to give me correct change. Trevi Fountain: the best. St. Peters: a must see.

Saretta W i salutisti!

HaHa just ONE? Well I could probably recommend 100! Anyway, Gusto is excellent (try the cod) - Very uppity, it's the place to see and be seen. You MUST go to the original Alfredo's. La Maccherioni is wonderful, and you can see right into the kitchen (it's all open). Est Est Est has a few locations and has great pizza and carbonara. L'Insalata Ricca is a chain, that has surprisingly good food (especially their cacio e pepe). Hands down the BEST PIZZA you will find in all of Rome is Pizzeria Monte Carlo. If you only eat dinner out once, make sure it's here! You'll love it I promise. You can find all the addresses on the web, or the hotel will know also!! Have fun and enjoy my hometown! :O)

Il Pomodorino Srl

Via Campania, 45
00187 Roma (Lazio), Italy

Near the Via Veneto, great pizza, wonderful fried anti-pasti, reasonable prices. Go to the "top" of the Veneto to the wall, turn right, walk three blocks. Restaurant is on the corner on your right. Very popular with young Italians and tourists as well.
