I went to Venice and stayed with an old couple that was passing out fliers at the train station. It was very inexpensive. Im sorry I dont have the phone number, Rooms for Friends. I was nervous at first, I did see the movie Hostel. They were very nice and we got breakfast and everything.

www.venere.com

...
Just type the town or city you want to stay in, followed by 'hostel' and you will find some.

There are hundreds and hundreds of them around the country

The "Let's Go" travel books have good information on staying at hostels. Be sure to pack your own sewn together sheet...top and bottom sewed together at the bottom and sides...you can stash your valuables in there so they won't be stolen at night and you will always be sure of clean sheets without bugs!

go to: www.backpackingeurope.com and there will be a list of countries to the right. Click on a country and it will pull up a list of hostels in different cities. It will provide all the information you need. Good luck!

hi,
try the following websites.

www.hostelz.com which shows private and international hostels.

www.hostelbooking.com is the international youth hostel website, with information on all hostels around the world, incl. Italy and for many places online booking service.

these websites tell you all about the price, where it is and all.

also good, www.hostelworld.com

have a good trip

The one in Bolzano is nice and just a short walk from the train station. E22 for a single and E19.5 for a shared room. There are several in Alto Adige and here is their website.
