I'm traveling to Italy in early November what should I anticipate as far as the weather? |
I wanted to try to avoid the tourist season and heard that early November is the start of the "off season". I was planning on going to Rome, Pisa, Florence, Milan, and Venice. As far as rain is it an every day kind of thing? Whats the temperature like? Thanks! |

i was in romemid novemberand it was gray and slightly chilly in the mornigns and would lighten up in the afternoon. if you're going to be out and about i recommend dressing in layers. mylifesaver was a wachable suede jacket and scarf. it was a longer scarf and could be wraped over my head and across my torso under the jacket which proved to be quite wind and rain resistent! by mid day the jacket would be shovd in the backpack and just the scarf around my shoulders and it was quite enjoyable! |

Bring along a wind-stopper jacket as well as some warm clothes to wear under it. But I hope you're lucky and only need light clothes!
Another tip: When your're in Pisa, try visiting Lucca too, it's a very nice place and you'll not regret it if you do!
The same goes for Florence, try visiting Siena as well. Florence demands much more time than Pisa but anyway...
You should also try to visit a theatre/concert in Milan!
Make a search, you have online access for most of it here:

Have a nice trip!
I'm a little bit envious... :-) |

November is pretty unpredictable. It can go either way, so be prepared for anything. More then likely it won't be raining constantly, but it has happened that rains went on for awhile, but that is more atypical then typical. Chance for rain, etc. will be greater in the North (Milano) then in the South (Roma). Temperatures moderate-around 50's/60's. Anytime is a good time to be in Italy-ENJOY! |
