Hiya, anybody know how much they charge for taxi's in rome/how you would get one. Is it like in london where you can just pull one over or call one up? Is it per mile/per minute? Anybody give me ...
I just think its a beautiful country and it would seem wonderful to live there. Where should I start on getting ready to live there? Additional Details I've never even been there ...
I am going to Rome for 3 days at the start of October/ Can anyone suggest a good hotel in the Historical Centre that won't cost me more than 70 pounds / 100 Euros a night please?...
We plan on staying in rome for 4-5 days. We don't want to spend a whole lot on lodging....

I PLAN TO USE MY TURKISH MOBILE (SIM CARD) IN ITALY.?
I PLAN TO USE MY TURKISH MOBILE (SIM CARD) IN ITALY. AND WOULD I LIKE TO KNOW IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO BUY A CHIP THERE AND USE ON MY PHONE FOR CALLING TO ANOTHER COUNTRISE ?
hey...you know, i'm italian...i hope i can help you...well, actually i know that calling abroad it's really really expensive...in particular with other mobile cards...so, in my opinion you'd better to buy an italian card...the cheapest ones are(about 10 €): Vodafone (www.vodafone.it), Tim (www.tim.it) and Wind (www.155.it)...you can visit their websites or ask for advice in a mobile shop...then you can decide what is the most suitable to you...it's up to you!!!
bye bye...and have a nice time in italy(i'm sure you'll enjoy the food)!!!

It is easy to buy a sim card in Italy, however the cost of calling abroad is phenomenal. You will find 'phone cafes' all over the place, you can call anywhere for a few cents a minute. Definitely the way forward.

yes, you can buy at any shop: wind, vodsfone or tim a sim card to put on your gsm phone. They cost between 5 and 15 euro. You only have to show a valid document and the card will be activate in 12 hours.
And don't know about the cost for calling ather countries, bu t usually is around 30/50 cents of euro at minute
