San Gimignano in Tuscany
Florence - Ufizzi Gallery, "David" in the Academy, Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge), the Duomo and the best gelato in Italy.
Venice - Murano glass factory, Grand Canal, San Marco, Doge Palace, feed the pigeons, walk, walk, walk.
There is also the Ferrari Museum at Maranello near Modena.
Buon viaggio

In the North, try to make it to the Cinque Terra if possible. Stunning. And near Milan is Bergamo, nice city. In Tuscany, check out Siena. Naples can be an unpleasant city, but it is near Pompeii, Sorrento, and the Amalfi coast. Personally, I'd stay in Sorrento, as it's halfway between Amalfi and Pompeii, and also the gateway to the incredible island of Capri. Pompeii is just outside Naples, so you could go to whatever sites you want in Naples with out staying there; just take the cheap, frequent train that runs. I was there in July.
