I am going to Venice, Italy in a week. Does anyone recommend fun activities for a 25-year old female?

Umm...The answer from "Klod".

If you are really writing from Italy, then you must not be Italian because even I know it is "Murano", not "Burano".

Anyway, to answer the main question, there is loads to do in Venice, although the time of year is not the best. Be prepared for fog, rain and maybe the occasional flooding during high tides.
As for what to do, here is a list;

-Piazza San Marco is a must, along with the main Basilica, tower and Palazzo Ducale (including the Ponte dei Sospiri).
-Rialto Bridge.
-Madonna dell'Orto Church. A Gothic church in an out of the way neighbourhood with few tourists....
-Murano Island. Where all the famous glass is produced. (The ceiling at the Bellagio in Vegas has a 1 million dollar sculpture from here.
-Venice's Ghetto - The oldest ghetto in Europe has five synagogues, a Jewish museum, and a kosher restaurant.
-Telecom Italia Future Centre - It is a 1,000-year-old convent turned into a into a high-tech museum. One must check e-mail and see all the latest gadgets too. ;-)

I also highly suggest you just walk and try to get lost....literally. I did that a few times and discovered a treasure of places and memories.

Have fun!

There isn't much to do in Venice...mostly museums, if you are into that sort of thing. Very beautiful architecture.

For rgobio:

both Burano and Murano exist.

Question was about "fun activities".
Right answers were:
-none
-horse trekking ;)

Venice is a treasure trove of culture, but living in it is as living in a in a village inside disneyland.

On mainland (Marghera) there are some disco (eg: Molo5).I don't know trasports by night

Use the calendar on the right to select the exact date of your staying in venice.

Probably a bit chilly for the Lido at this time of year. All the standard tourist spots to visit, lots of walking and boat rides. Unless the churches have changed, they expect knee length or longer dresses or suits, no shorts or minis. The glass works have good tours and there is also a casino if you are of legal age to gamble.

Enjoy and try to use your Italian, no matter how rusty. They appreciate it.
