in the start of october is more better.... not veryhot but not very cool.... in the end of october you must go in south of italy: in the north start to be low temperature

Depends on where you're going - it's on the Mediterranean, so it'll be warm down by Sicily, but Italy also has Alps, so check and see if you can ski.

October is a phenomenal time to be in Italy.
Less crowds, less heat.

The weather is lovely!! I was in Europe last year arround the end of October and I had a blast! It was not scorching just great to go about your business without sweating yourself to death!
