Gosh, do you people not pay attention, or what?

The UK is an EU country. Italy is also an EU country. If you are a national of any EU country, you have the right to visit, live or work in any other EU country. You do NOT require a visa to visit any other EU country for a holiday, but you would need to sort out some paperwork if you were going to live and work in another EU country.

Therefore you as a UK national do not need a visa to visit Italy. All you need to visit Italy is a valid passport, a plane ticket, some money, and someplace to stay.
