There is not a lot to do around the airport . The airport has a few shops and a restaurant or two that are very expensive. You could get a taxi to Leini which is nearby and wander around the town but it is probably not worthwhile.

Perhaps just sit it out and visit the Piedmont tourist section in the airport and get some information on a wonderful region of Italy. Perhaps they can convince you to visit next time!! I live in the region so I am obviously biased. For a little more on Turin you are welcome to visit my site http://www.my-italy-piedmont-marche-and-more.com/turin.html

It depends on where you are coming from. That time may be less than that if you include customs, security etc.
