i love him

I have a crush on a married man. Help?

I was a totally plain jane, and I mean it. Months ago, I noticed a guy (Mr X) who always eat at the same dining place with me. It was a love at first sight. As time goes by, I found myself deeply in love with him.

I change the way I looked (changed my hair style, my clothes, my diet and even put on make up). Finally, I got a new look that I am happy with. Guys (be it someone I know or stranger) started to approached me. This boosted up my confidence. Mr X and I always exchanged glances at each other in the dining place. I noticed that he does wear a ring, but it doesn't look like a wedding ring at all.

So, one day, I approached Mr X, and asked if we could be friends. He said that we can be friends, but he told me that he is already married. Feeling depressed, I said ‘fine’ and walked away. I know that it was rude of me to walk away, but what could I possibly do? It wasn't easy for me to approach him as I was a really shy and timid girl.

So, a couple of days later, I saw him and I apologized. He accepted my apology. Since then, I never see him at the dining place anymore. Why is this so? Could it be that he is trying to avoid from me or what?

I do want to forget about Mr X, but it is really hard. If I were to see him at the dining place again, what should I do? Should I approach him and say 'hi', or do I pretend like I never see him at all? Please help. Your advice will be appreciated. Thanks

You're not really in love with him because love is a commitment and sacrifice you are willing to give to someone else. If you did love him, you wouldn't want to hurt his marriage in any way.

Hi!
I'm sorry for you. In my opinion you shouldn't approach him...he made you understand he's not interested in you...and then he told you he's married. He clearly told you he could be your friend but not your lover/partner. You are not interested in being just a friend to him, so...you two ant 2 different things, right?
I think that he didn't go at the dining place because he wanted to avoid you; maybe he thought it was an embarrassing situation ...
Trust me, you'll meet another man and you'll forget him...
I wish you good luck. Bye!

You've asked a total of 11 questions on Answers, all on this topic so you must have gotten some good advice by now.

I'm still wondering why you posted it on the Italy-Venice board?

Laura B
I know that it would freak me out if a complete stranger approached me and asked if we could be friends. He's probably scared of you.

Wow, you need to go speak with a therapist. You claim you are in love with someone you didn't even know, and can't forget him? This is obsessive compulsive behavior. And yes, the guy is married, he is avoiding you like the plague. I wouldn't worry about seeing him there again. You need help, please get it before you start stalking people and get locked up.

Amomtoo
This is a married man and you should leave him alone! That is probably why he is not coming back to the "dining place".

This man gave you the motivation to break out of your shell, find a new look and be more beautiful! He brought out the best in you, love him for that and realize that you can't love a man that you don't know. At least not for who he is, you can only love him for how he makes you feel.

You can feel that way by another man, it's not him that's special, it's in you.

Also, the best thing would be to not go to the dining place yourself, find a new place and you'll soon find a new man with the new you. Everything changes, embrace it!
