Hi

Seeing as you're in the Italy section, when I was there I was told about this little place in Camaiore, Tuscany. It was set up by a lady sculptor and now it's kind of an artistic retreat. If you can't afford to pay, you could try getting a job there from April onwards. Check out www.peraltatuscany.com
Otherwise I'd recommend Bellingen on the NSW mid north coast. Fantastic town full of alternative types and they hold festivals and art courses.
