I use the Venere site to book hotels here in Italy. http://en.venere.com/hotels_pisa/. I can't recommend any specific hotel since it's been a long time since I've stayed in Pisa. When I go there, it's usually just a day trip from my home north of Bologna. Hopefully, you'll get some good suggestions from people with direct experience, but the reviews on the hotel site are also useful.
If you're nervous about your arm, you could take a cab to Pisa. It's also only a 5 minute trip from the airport to Pisa Centrale train station on the train. There are two trains per hour most of the day: http://www.ferroviedellostato.it/cms/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=ad1ce14114bc9110VgnVCM10000080a3e90aRCRD. Use Pisa Aero for the airport station and Pisa Centrale for the end point. The train costs 1.10 euro, but in your case, the difference for a cab may make sense especially if you're dealing with luggage. |

All hotels will organise a pick up for you. Cheaperthanhotels will let you put a request in with your booking and convey this to the hotel. You'll also find some good bargains : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Italy/Pisa/ - http://www.hotelsitaliano.com/Italy/Pisa/ also has some good deals + a lot of options. The maps , pictures and descriptions should help.
Another site that will search and compare websites is http://www.equavista.com/italy/pisa/ |
