I don't live in Italy, but I do listen to a lot of Italian music! To add to what others have said... you should have quick listen to Luca Dirisio. He's fantastic! His most-famous song is Calma E Sangue Freddo - it's one of my favourites of all time! He's releasing his third album late this spring.

I love Italian music!
