I would like to plan a trip for my girlfriends, myself and some children. Where should we go? |
I have been thinking Italy but I have not come to an ultimate decision yet. I do want to go overseas. I would like to go someplace where the children could see and appreciate the sites. I would also like to go someplace that has an exciting night life, my girlfriends and I range from 18 to 28 and we are all single, the children range from 1 to 10. I am just starting to do research on this trip so any suggestions would be helpful. |

Italy is a fantastic choice. I have been all over Europe, and Italy is by far the most beautiful country I have ever seen.
I would recommend spending at least a week there. Take a tour through out Italy, that way you can get of feel of each different region and city. Here are my favorite Italian cities:
-Verona: Verona is a charming city in the northern part of Italy that is definately worth seeing. Dont spend an entire day here, however. just check it out for a few hours on a pit stop on your way to venice or something
-Venice: for obvious reasons is a cant-miss. There is SO much to do here and so much to see. Take a gondola ride through the canals. its expensive, but its worth every penny. Also see a demonstration at a Glass-Blowing factory, its very interesting and fun to watch.
-Florence: Probably my favorite city in Italy. There are so many things to see and do here, you could spend a month here and still not see everything. My favorite places and things to do were walking up the Duomo and Santa Maria de Novella's bell tower, the Boboli Gardens, and shopping at the huge flea market near Saint Lorenzo's square.
Siena: BEAUTIFUL. Walk up the bell tower in the main square for a spectacular view.
Rome: The Eternal City. Its very beautiful, and yet again, there is SO much to see. Visit the main attractions such as the Vatican, the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, ect. I also enjoyed seeing the Bocca Della Verita (the Mouth of Truth)
Naples: See Pompeii, even if you can only spend a few hours there, you can still see the major points of interests. Its really a neat city. Only get pizza from this area of Italy, especially the Margherita pizza. Its mouth-watering.
Capri: STUNNING. This little island is a must-see. Go see the Blue Grotto. Its like nothing youve ever seen before. sigh... i want to go back.... :)
Hope this helps, Ciao! |

Milan is a fun and historically valuable place. And Rome also. You should see Venice. But you'll have fun anywhere you go, trust me! |
