Hey there! well there is a lot to do in Rome... All I can tell you is that if you are going to stay in Rome for 3-4 days the best thing to do is to get your self a map of Rome and dedicate a day to everyone of these monuments as follows:
Day 1 - Visit the Spanish steps, Piazza del Popolo, Pantheon, Piazza Venezia (The Wedding cake!), and the Trevi Fountain.
Day 2 - Visit the Vatican Museum + the St. Peter's Basilica (Don't go there on Sundays, it's closed!) - You need to go there let's say at 7:30 am as it is going to be very crowded due to the safety check and the que for the tickets.
Day 3 - Visit Colosseum, Foro Romano, and Arco di Costantino
Day 4 - Visit Villa Borghese and the Borghese Gallery (if you have time). You will have too booki in advance if you want to visit the Borghese Gallery.
There is a lot more to see in Rome. every inch of Rome has something to see. However if you only have 3-4 days what I would suggest you to do is to follow my instructions. This way you'll be seeing Rome's most important monuments.
If you want to take a general tour of Rome with an open bus, all you have to do is to go to the Termini Train station. Their main stop is there. You can hop on and hop off whenevere you want. The buses are red and they are called "Open 110". The price of the ticket is 16 Euros for a full day. You can listen to a guide speaking in your language with a headphone.
If you book yourself a hotel in the historic center all this is going to be very easy to reach as everything is within a walking distance! ;-) |
