The standard eurostar train takes 95 minutes. Cost 33 euros second class, 47 euros first class. In Italy, it is "Roma" and
"Firenze", not Rome and Florence.

Go to http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html to check scheduling, which is virtually every hour.

go on line to "eurostar" or "raileurope.com" you can get a complete train schedule and prices. if you are planning to take the train to more than one place check out the different passes that are offered. if it is a long trip like rome to florence go first class. it isn't very much more money and is well worth it. i can tell you that in September the trip was about 2 1/2 to 3 hours depending on which train you took and the cost was 54 euro or about $ 66.00.

If I remember from last summer, it takes about 3.5 hours. Check out train times and prices at www.trenitalia.com. I suggest paying the extra 2 euros for reserved seats, that way you know you have a place to sit.

Vic pretty much has the answer. As far as timetable goes, there is a train just about every hour. Make sure to get a Intercity train as opposed to a directo. Contrary to the names, directo trains stop at most stops, while Intercity has fewer stops.
