Is Bologna a nice city?

I might be going their next summer and staying in an apartment with 4 other girls...is it nice/fun? Is florence better? Also is it very touristy because i dont like that.

Bologna is actually a really pretty city with a lot of history and a lot of things to do. There is a huge (and very old) University there too, a lot of people equate the people and overall vibe there to Italy's own version of Berkeley. Its really a unique place and worth visiting.

The food there is really, really good too.

Yes, its beautiful....and...it tastes great with mayonaisse on wheat bread...mmm.


but Florence is wayyy to crowded. its a big tourist trap
